To assist Support Staff in the construct of membership proposals for Local Bargaining, the following documents may be of assistance.
BARGAINING 2019 – CALL FOR PROPOSALS (posted November 6, 2018)
The current Collective Agreement expires June 30, 2019. In an effort to prepare for negotiations we are requesting proposals from members. A notice giving more detailed information has been sent out to all members by email, as well as being posted at school sites. The Call for Proposals Notice and the Proposal Form are now available and any suggestions should be forwarded to our office by December 14, 2018.
2019 PAY SCHEDULE FOR WVMEA SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS (posted October 22, 2018)
The schedule showing pay periods and dates for 2019 has been issued by Payroll to all WVMEA members. A copy of the Pay Schedule is available here.
REFUSAL OF UNSAFE WORK (posted July 18, 2018)
The BC Public School Employer’s Association (BCPSEA) recently posted a flow chart on their website addressing the issue of violence in the workplace – this is a step by step tool for support staff on how to refuse unsafe work. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with your rights on the Refusal of Unsafe Work.
